Granny, 72, Having A Baby With Her Grandson

Pearl Carter, 72, says she has never been happier after beginning an incestuous relationship with her 26-year-old grandchild Phil Bailey.

The pensioner, from Indiana, US, is using her pension to pay a surrogate mother so they can have a child, reports New Zealand's New Idea magazine.

She said: "I'm not interested in anyone else's opinion. I am in love with Phil and he's in love with me.

"Soon I'll be holding my son or daughter in my arms and Phil will be the proud dad."

Her lover is the son of Pearl's daughter Lynette Bailey - who she put up for adoption when she was 18-years-old.

When his mother passed away, Phil tracked down his long lost grandmother and they quickly fell in love.

Pearl told New Idea magazine: "From the first moment that I saw him, I knew we would never have a grandmother-grandson relationship.

"For the first time in years I felt sexually alive."

It was during their second week together, after dinner and wine, that Pearl made her move.

"I called Phil into my bedroom, sat him on the bed, and then I leant over and kissed him," she added.

"I expected rejection but instead he kissed me back."

Phil revealed: "I wanted to kiss her there and then. My feelings were overwhelming.

"I love Pearl with all my heart. I've always been attracted to older women and I think Pearl is gorgeous. Now I'm going to be a dad and I can't wait.

"Yes, we get laughed at and bullied when we go out and kiss in public but we don't care. You can't help who you fall for."

The pair paid $54,000 (£35,000) to find a surrogate mother and buy a donor egg to inseminate with Phil's sperm.

They placed an advert asking for an open-minded surrogate, and Roxanne Campbell applied.

"Initially I was shocked," says Roxanne, 30. "But they're a brilliant pair and I saw how much they loved each other. I know the baby will be loved too."

Pearl said: "I am finally going to be a mum and not forced to give up my child. Phil's going to be a great dad.

"I never in a million years thought at 72 I'd be 'pregnant' and in love with my grandson.

"I make no apologies and I believe God's given me a second chance."

Dbanj and Genevieve Nnaji: My relationship with Dbanj is my private life.

Sunday, May 2, 2010

Question: Genevieve will you  like to confirm the assertion made by Dbanj that both of you are dating?

Genevieve Nnaji : "I can only say that I would like to keep my private life and I really don't have anything to say"

Question:But if one part of a couple reveals that he is going out with someone as high profile as yourself, it makes the story credible if you can actually confirm this...

Genevieve : "Dbanj is an adult and he has said something. Let's just leave it at that..."

But can you clarify the whole thing by simply conforming or denying it?

Genevieve: "I don't want to talk about my private life. I don't do it. I am well aware that people will say things. People have been calling me to find things out, but I am not going to say anything. I have learnt over the years that no matter what I say, people will say and believe what they like...you can not please everybody. This is my own way of handling things. I just don't talk about my private life. It's the one thing I can control"

Question: But is it real or a publicity stunt? Is Dbanj lying?
Genevieve "Does he lie?"

Question:By that are you inferring that he wasn't telling a lie and what he said is true?
Genevieve: I am not inferring or insinuating anything. One person has said something and that really is enough. I am not saying I will never talk about it, but for now I do not wish to say anything about the matter.

D'BANJ AND GENEVIEVE NNAJI: I am in love with Genevieve Nnaji

Sometimes in March 2010, Nigerian Entertainer D'banj was interviewed about his new relationship with actress Genevieve Nnaji. Check out what he had to say below.

You were spotted secretly and publicly at different places with Genevieve Nnaji and we heard you both are in some kind of relationship. Is this true?
D’Banj “Yes, yes, yes. We have been trying to keep this quiet but yes, I am dating Genevieve Nnaji.

Okay. We heard you recently featured her in your music video, ‘Fall in Love.’ Is this a publicity stunt or is it a real relationship?
D'Banj "This is all so funny because beyond the personal feelings I have for Genevieve, on the business side, she is the only one who represented what we were looking for to shoot the video. She represents Africa. She represents the African Queen. She is the biggest and was even profiled on the Oprah Winfrey Show. So it was a mixed feeling for me. She was the perfect person to use for the song ‘Fall in Love’. She even was my perception of someone you would want to fall in love with and have in your life. I believe the average African man wherever you are, if you want to think of whom you would want to fall in love with, if you close your eyes and take a deep breath, it’s Genevieve that will come to mind. So business-wise, she represented everything we were looking for to make the video."

You must have been looking at her whilst you were singing. Were you really telling her your feelings?
D'Banj "I am in love with Genevieve. It’s been long I felt this way about anyone. I don’t know what other words to use to qualify my feelings. But when you see the video, you will know that it’s not just a video, it was me talking to my girl for real.

So is this a marriage-headed relationship?
D'Banj "Like I just told you, Genevieve is my girlfriend. In fact, I don’t like using that word girlfriend. She’s my baby, she’s my every thing and I love her. We are both very mature and also very private. We would like to take it one step at a time right now and would appreciate if people will respect our need for privacy at this time.

When the news of this relationship hits the streets, we are sure you both know what will happen next. Are you ready for this?
D'Banj "Well, what can I say? Like I said, Genevieve is the biggest African star that I know and I am in the public eye, so it is to be expected. But I personally do not care about any news that wants to come out. I am proud of whom I am with. When I met Genevieve I knew what I wanted and I went after it and I am still with what I want and she’s the one I want. Right now the only woman in my life is Genevieve and she knows that. We want to be together and we don’t want to hide it any longer. I want to be able to take her out, walk into anywhere with her and not have to hide. I’ve found my kokolet, my woman. Please pray for us.''

Domestic Abuse: A man who batters you once will do it again - Pastor Femi Faseru

Pastor Femi Faseru

By PRECIOUS IGBOKWE

Pastor Femi Faseru is the National Superintendent of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in Nigeria. Faseru studied botany at University of Ife, (now Obafemi Awolowo University) before proceeding to study computer science for his Master’s degree.

After that, he commenced a career in mortgage banking in 1992, in Lagos for a while before going back to England where he became a member of the British contract society through certification in software quality assurance.

While in Britain he did consultancy work for GlazoSmithKline and subsequently set up his own software training school known as Be-A-Tester, where he trains people to do quality software assurance test and was very successful at it until when he started having the urge and the nudging of the spirit asking him to come back to Nigeria in 2002.

Responding to this inward urge, Faseru returned to Nigeria in January 2003 and set up an IT firm. Then at the end of the year he got the privilege to begin ministering as a pastor in KICC-Lagos, which he did for on part time basis for about two and half years.
The through the power of the Holy Spirit, the membership grew to thousands couple with increased responsibilities, thereby compelling him to go into full time pastoral work. Interestingly, he was not drawing any money from the church.

“I didn’t request for salary, I just wanted to serve God and be relevant to the kingdom by putting in my best. When I noticed that my business was being affected because it was obvious I was not given it much attention, I knew I had to decide and after some meditation it was clear that God wanted me to move into the full ministry,” Faseru says, stressing that the attraction was money.

In the course of time, he has developed a passion for ministering on marriage. In this interview, he talks about marital problems that could cause a breakdown and possibly lead to one spouse planning to kill the other. Excerpts…

The marriage institution is now under great threat. Why are we seeing a steep rise in divorce rate?
Let me start by saying that marriage is one of my passionate areas of ministry. Whatever I teach, I relate it to marriage. if I teach about success, I talk about marital success; if I teach finance I talk about financial growth in marriage; so teaching about marriage is a passion for me. I have been married since 1996 and I know there are marital issues, which sometimes end in divorce.

The major reason is that a lot of people were not prepared before they got into marriage because they were busy buying suits, wedding dresses and arranging for engagements, but did not take out time to really prepare for marriage. So one of the things we major in this church is that before the intending couple are joined, we insist that the man and woman go for proper counseling during which we talk them through on the kinds of things that may likely show up in their marriage.

Beyond that I always say that before you marry, you must look closely to see if you can find any of the things identified in your relationship with the person; we educate people and let them know that by themselves they can do evil and can cause trouble even without the external influence; I mean lets leave the devil aside, the in-laws and the ‘out-laws’ for now, the bible says that the heart of a man is desperately wicked.

We can do some terrible things ourselves and so I educate you on how to understand yourself. I wrote a book “Married but Living Single” where I said that a lot of people are into marriage because of their interest. Even when the marriage is horrific they still remain there.

They are living single because they don’t understand themselves or the spouse they are married to. But when there is an understanding of the marriage institution itself and understanding of oneself and of the spouse, you are able to come to a compromise and know what you should expect and what you shouldn’t expect.

Disappointment leads to depression in marriage and it steals joy and peace too and basically we have this issue because people have not come to a point of understanding of marriage itself; the parties involved have not actually sat down to say this is what we want to achieve and these are the goals we are setting for this.

What are the life threatening issues in marriage?
There are different kinds of death, one can die spiritually, emotionally physically and even psychologically. In marriages, infidelity and unfaithfulness lead to breaking of the covenant made between the man and the woman. When such violation of covenant takes place, except the spouse involved retraces his or her steps, there is bound to be spiritual death or disconnection instead of becoming one in the marriage.

There could be emotional death – that is when a spouse is being beaten or battered by the other party; in such a situationhen the sense of self-worth is lost. That is when you see someone in marriage looking so quiet and withdrawn and you think the person is just quiet but you wouldn’t know the person is as good as dead. There is also physical death in the case of abuse and when a man or a woman stays with an abusive spouse or short tempered, someone whose attitude is very terrible, he can harm the spouse.

What are the early signs of marital relationships that are headed for the rock?
When a marriage become argumentative – the couple argue over every little thing, that marriage is headed for destruction. Like I mentioned in my book, when couples are living like housemates, such marriage is headed for the rock. Couples should be committed to one another and when they are not, they live as housemates.

As we know, housemates have different visions while inmates share common vision and direction. When there is no vision and there is no unity, the couple will not work together. In such situations, one vision contradicts the other with the result that they lead in opposite directions and uphold different values. When the value a father has for the children differs shapes itself, it becomes a challenge and there are bound to be problems in that marriage.

Can a marriage breakdown to the point that a spouse would begin thinking about taking the life of the other person.
A lot of things can happen in a man’s mind. In a man’s mind lies his future and anyone who is a barrier to whatever he wants to achieve, is stepping in as an enemy of the man’s future. The man would see the person as an opponent or an opposition to the attainment of the vision, which he considers paramount.

Marriage is not an exception and so when the man begins to think that the spouse is an enemy and the man has a wicked heart, he then begins to look at the situation with the ‘enemy mentality’ forgetting that the person he is dealing with is a wife or husband as the case maybe; so the man will turn the whole of his being making moves in the physical. So the state of the man’s heart will determine how he wants to act over issues in his marriage.

There are cases where a woman may just think that she is trapped and needs to get out of this marriage and even the man may lookout for a route to sneak out of a marriage. Depending on how the heart of the person is, a man is capable of anything, good or bad, the person may now think of either killing the other party or doing something drastic.

Don’t you think material things like money or quest for sexual satisfaction could lead to this issue?
We have seen all kinds of things in the world that we live in and nothing can really be an excuse and we have seen wives poisoning their husbands or husbands perceiving the kind of freedom they would have heard, and even the man killing the wife just because he has seen someone else to marry.

We see all kinds of evil under the sun but it has gotten to the state where one needs to go back to the real essence of marriage, where one will love the other, cherish the other and be better like when they met. We need to understand that there is nothing that should warrant a man to kill his wife or the wife, her husband. Money is not worth it and nothing is worth it.

When marriage becomes a life threatening issue, what should a spouse do?
The bible says that two cannot walk together except they are in agreement. For a man who has come to a point where the marriage is being threatened, I believe they should learn to talk things over and if they are not getting the desired result, they should talk to a mature person, because in every relationship, there is always a mentor in as much as our elders try to discourage that but we need them.

When a couple cannot reach a compromise, they should talk to someone maybe a pastor because the pastor is not supposed to be biased and the spouses are like spiritual children to him. So I advise that you talk to your pastor. Before he kills you, please speak out. A man who batters you once is bound to batter you again and if you can take it once, be ready to take it again and again. Therefore before you allow the man who slaps you to stab you, you better speak out.

At what point do you think any of the parties should leave the marriage?
Well the boundary for divorce is in the bible, but I think it is limited and when the spouses separate and one remarries, then that is a sin. So when you want to walk out of your marriage be ready to live as a single person for the rest of your life.

When a man thinks his wife is cheating or the woman thinks the man is cheating, he or she can walk out but in doing that please remember you cannot remarry. So when there is infidelity and you know you can control your passion for it, you can walk out but it is better for you to resolve issues in marriage, and forgive your spouse so as to reach a point of understanding and commitment in marriage. It is better than pursuing the path of divorce in marriage.

Is it possible to re-inject romance in this kind of marriage?
The first love is different; when a man sees a woman or when a boy sees a girl, they are all over each other and we know that that kind of feeling cannot be attained in a marriage where there has been a lot of battering, unfaithfulness, infidelity, and where all kinds of words have been spoken.

It may not really be possible except with the grace of God. However, attempts can be made when sex is locked out of marriage then resuscitating it can be easy. Sexual intimacy between a couple will lead to appreciation of one another, and appreciation in turn leads to deeper intimacy. So don’t let anything hinder your sexual relationship and even before bedtime. Romance is the key to keeping couples together.

What are the necessary steps to prevent marriages from heading to the rock?
Seek to understand one another, it is important you know yourself; when there is an understanding, communication flows, don’t let it break down. Conflict has to be resolved with communication. Expressions matters a lot, you have to learn to express yourself to your spouse. So understanding, communication, commitment, care and preference, common grounds, win-win situation, endurance, peace, happiness and joy are all necessary for your marital success.

Why do we have a lot of marriage seminars and marriage counsellors yet there are lots of marital problems and people are walking out of their marriages?
Most of the challenges people have in their marriages are not learnt in marriage; they could be family background issues, you know the way a father treats his wife will determine how a son treats his wife and sometimes, when such a man sits in a seminar for an hour or with a counselor for some minutes, it may not really be enough to change what the young man has learnt early in life.

So sometimes, it may take more than seminars and a lot of time spent with the counselor; it could take beyond one church service because we are all products of our upbringing. Parents should not expose their children to the experience they had in the past and one counseling session will not be a guarantee to stop that attitude. So it’s not really a shock that despite all this, we still have divorce cases and issues in marriage. Besides the couple should be willing to adhere to instructions given by the counselor, doing the Word of God and not being just hearers alone.

Last word
They way forward is for the couple to have an understanding of what marriage is, forget the mindset that I want my marriage to be like the one I saw in a in the movie somewhere or I read in a book. The couple should sit down and know the person they want to marry. Alternatively, they can read my book and apply the principles therein, they should identify the fundamental truth, and look at it from God’s perspective. There is no point in people having blood pressure, people dying young just because of contention and pride in marriage.

Nigeria Senate to debate former governor of Zamfara State, Senator Ahmed Sani Yerima's marriage to Egyptian minor

Saturday, April 17, 2010

Senator Ahmed Sani Yerima

Written by Jackson Udom

There are strong indications that the Senate will on resumption from the Easter break debate the recent marriage of Senator Sanni Yerima to a 13-year-old girl from Egypt.

Speaking with Sunday Tribune on condition of anonymity, a source at the Senate disclosed that  “the upper legislative body will soon deliberate on the marriage recently contracted between Yerima, a former governor of Zamfara State and  serving Senator to an underage girl from Egypt.

“The development is very very wrong and lacks any sign of morality. It is a clear case of child abuse which we have been fighting against. It is illegal and should be condemned by well meaning and right thinking Nigerians,” the highly influential Senator declared.

The lawmaker noted that “the law of the land frowns at this kind of marriage which is a clear case of child abuse. It is embarrassing to the Senate and indeed the National Assembly and that is why the issue would be tabled before the Senate and decision will be taken.”

Condemning the marriage, the federal lawmaker stated that, “the development becomes more embarrassing considering the calibre of the Senator involved, who should know better  as a former state chief executive and a serving lawmaker.”

Former governor of Zamfara State and a serving Senator, Alhaji Sani Yerima, few weeks ago got married to a 13-year-old girl from Egypt.

Sunday Tribune reliably gathered that the marriage ceremony between the senator and the  minor was not allowed to take place in Egypt because of an existing law which bars minors from getting married, hence, the ceremony was shifted to Nigeria.

In 2003, the National Assembly passed a law on child rights which supercedes the provisions under the Sharia legal code. The law clearly forbids marrying girls under the age of 18.

Dr Karima Sanni-Yerima:My husband and I love experimenting with food.

Karima Ahmed Sanni-Yerima

Not every woman would be happy to leave the Governor‘s Lodge after eight years. But she was! ”I was looking forward to leaving the Government House because I wanted my normal life back,” she reminisces.

It was not the kind of life I really wanted – there was no time for myself, my husband and children. My focus was people-centered, but I knew my religion preaches that my husband and children should have a right over me.”

She is Dr. Karima Ahmed Sanni-Yerima and is married to the former governor of Zamfara State, Senator Ahmed Sanni Yerima.

Wondering what she now does after eight years of being the First Lady of Zamfara? A medical practitioner, she is currently studying for her master‘s degree in Public Health and she is back to medical practice.

I love my career and always wanted to practise,” she says. ”One of the reasons I looked forward to leaving the Government House was because I wanted my career back. I consulted and attended to some patients when I was the First Lady.

Medicine is a profession that needs dedication and not part-time because you are dealing with human beings. As First Lady, I was always in touch with my books and never left the career completely.

“In fact when my husband won the election in 1999, I was happy for him but I knew my career would be affected. You needed to have imagined my joy when we finally left the place.”

Though her husband is a serving senator, ask Dr. Karima why she allowed him join politics from the outset and she replies, ”He was a banker when I married him and later became a civil servant. Not that he wanted to be a politician, the people prevailed on him.

“They must have seen his dedication at work and his contributions to their welfare, so they pressurised him to seek political office. Despite the fact that I didn‘t like the idea, I could not help it but to also support him. The grass roots people put pressure on him and he finally succumbed to their wishes.”

Being the daughter of a politician too (her father is Senator Isah Anka), she knew there are some ‘disadvantages‘ in public office.

“I am a very private person and never wanted the limelight,” she offers. ”Immediately my husband won, I knew our lifestyle would change. I knew we would spend less time with ourselves. My husband is a very caring and humble person and we both had many things in common – we loved travelling, adventure and we loved experimenting with foods.

“We would go to high profile restaurants and we also went to mama-put joints. Before he became governor, whenever we were in Lagos, we would go to such joints and eat but some months after he assumed office, we went to Lagos and I reminded him about the mama-put and he agreed to go.

“Then, we thought he was just a few months in office and nobody recognised us but the security personnel refused us. They said we could not go to such places anymore.”

But that did not change her husband‘s nature, who is also the Prince of Bacura. ”He is a very gentle man, humble, generous, an ardent Muslim and acts in accordance with his religion. He is tremendously a good father, who plays with them, cracks jokes with them and eats with them,” she offers.

“There was a day my friend visited us in the Government House, Gusau, and he saw His Excellency running after his children and playing with them. She was surprised to see the governor doing that. I made her realise that he had always been like that.”

But everyone saw first ladies as superhuman beings! ”Ironically, when I was younger, I thought so too,” she confesses. ”Then, I would run to see the convoy passing with siren blaring. But when I got to the position myself, I knew there was nothing to it because power belongs to God. Even as First Lady, I had my friends, I still retained them and I was still who I am.”

Reminiscing on her childhood, Dr. Karima always dreamt of becoming a pharmacist. ”But my mother wanted me to study medicine, left to my father; he believed I could make my choice. I knew I would not be a lawyer because Islam does not permit a woman to be a judge.

“I am happy I chose medicine. My early years started in Sokoto, then there was no Zamfara State and I grew up in a monogamous home – just my parents and us.”

Despite her love for medicine, she will not forget the challenges she faces while she is on duty. ”So many women in the profession, even those married to fellow doctors, face certain challenges,” she explains. ”Though my husband is liberal, I remember the day he brought my crying baby to the hospital when I was on call and he asked me to come home because my baby was crying.

“Whenever he travelled, returned and didn’t see me at home, he would drive down to the hospital and stand at the entrance of wherever I was – theatre or consulting room – until I came out to meet him. Fortunately, I had helps in the house and I always make sure there is an elderly relative who oversees these house-helps.”

She has always dressed in alignment with Islamic injunction. ”I love dressing up but it has to be in accordance with what the Koran preaches,” she says. ”A woman should be decent in her outlook and should present herself to her husband alone. Elegance is allowed as long as it‘s in consonance with your religion.”

A woman who loves to cook, she says she cooks as many dishes as she admires, even as a governor‘s wife.

“I love cooking and I cook myself despite the presence of chefs in the Government House, I was still cooking for him,” she recalls about her husband. ”I love experimenting with foods, especially from other tribes. My husband‘s favourite dishes? He loves tuwo and groundnut soup, bean soup (gbegiri) tuwo gida and tuwo akama. For breakfast, he takes masa, Mei ‘n‘gada, he loves meat a lot and fish but lately, he does not take red meat.”

In Zamfara State, her husband‘s tenure saw the introduction of the Sharia law. According to her, Sharia is the best thing to happen to a woman. She proffers, ”Sharia is actually a way of life in accordance with the Koran and it touches every aspect of life. Sharia is beneficial to women, especially concerning inheritance.

"With Sharia, there is never a time that a woman should take care of herself alone – she must be under somebody‘s care and her inheritance is hers alone and not to be shared.

“There is no place in Sharia where the woman looks for food herself, it has to be her husband or father or any male member of the family. It has eased the burden of women and I support it.”

Still forging ahead with her project on women and children, she plans to introduce a scheme for the reduction of maternal and infant mortality.

“Already, the project on infant nutrition is on suspension because I am currently writing my thesis and I have been busy. But by the time I am through with my studies, I would definitely continue and also campaign for a reduction in maternal mortality rate because it is prevalent in the north,” she says.

How much can a Swedish woman forgive? Ask Elin Nordegren

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

By MALIN RISING
When Tiger Woods returns to golf at the Masters this week, his wife Elin won't be at his side.

The world has been watching to see if she would join him, and some women have been puzzled that the 30-year-old former model hasn't already left her cheating husband. She is, after all, from Sweden -- a nation famous for its strong-willed and independent women.

In her homeland, too, there has been some bewilderment that Elin Nordegren hasn't split considering the scope of her husband's infidelity.

But relationship counselors in the Scandinavian nation aren't that surprised. Sweden is still a champion of women's rights, but in recent years a more conservative view highlighting the merits of an intact family has been making a comeback.

Like Nordegren, many Swedes have grown up with divorced parents, and are increasingly focused on building homes and keeping their families together, said Lena Gustafsson, a psychotherapist who works in relationship counseling.

Woods and Nordegren have two children, a daughter Sam Alexis, 2, and a 1-year-old son, Charlie Axel.

"Many of the couples I see continue to live together, they solve their problems," Gustafsson said.

That was not the case for Nordegren's parents, who divorced before she started school and separately developed their careers -- her father, Thomas Nordegren, as a correspondent for Swedish Radio and her mother, Barbro Holmberg, as a politician.

In Sweden, divorces peaked at around 27,000 annually in the mid-1970s, at the height of the women's liberation movement. Since then divorces have slowly declined to about 20,000 a year. Sweden's population is about 9 million.

Gustafsson said a gradual return toward the family as a cornerstone in Swedish society has come as a reaction to a culture that many people viewed as too obsessed with individual self-fulfillment.

However, repeated infidelity is not something that is taken lightly, even in Sweden. When Woods crashed his car into a fire hydrant in November and the extent of his extramarital affairs was revealed, the message in Swedish media and blogs was close to unanimous: Dump him.

Many Swedish commentators praised how Nordegren handled the situation, and more than one reference was made to how she smashed the back window of the car with a golf club.

The couple told investigators she did so to unlock a door and pull her husband out of the car, and Woods has strenuously denied his wife abused him. Still, the incident was seen here as a strong-willed Swedish woman standing up for herself.

Benny Hinn files for divorce

Thursday, February 18, 2010

The wife of televangelist Benny Hinn has filed for divorce from the high-profile pastor, whose reputation as an advocate of prosperity gospel has attracted millions of followers and criticism from lawmakers and watchdog groups over his lavish lifestyle.

Suzanne Hinn filed the papers in Orange County Superior Court on Feb. 1, citing irreconcilable differences, after more than 30 years of marriage. The papers note the two separated on Jan. 26 and that Hinn has been living in Dana Point, a wealthy coastal community in southern Orange County.

"Pastor Benny Hinn and his immediate family were shocked and saddened to learn of this news without any previous notice," Benny Hinn Ministries said Thursday in a statement. "Although Pastor Hinn has faithfully endeavored to bring healing to their relationship, those efforts failed and were met with the petition for divorce that was filed without notice."

Hinn is one of the best known advocates of the prosperity gospel, which teaches that Christians who are right with God will be rewarded with wealth and health in this lifetime.

His TV broadcasts on the Trinity Broadcast Network, a Pentecostal broadcasting juggernaut, and other TV networks are seen by millions of people around the world nearly every day. He travels the globe in his ministry's plane, named Dove One, holding events he calls "Miracle Crusades" that include spiritual healings.

Hinn has never fully publicly disclosed how he spends the money he raises, but his vast ministry is believed to be a multimillion-dollar operation. There was no mention of finances in the court filing, which listed three recent Southern California addresses for the family.

Over the years, Hinn has been the target of intense criticism from fellow Christians and watchdog groups who call his teachings false and accuse him of raising money only to enrich himself.

He is one of six televangelists under investigation by Sen. Charles Grassley, the Iowa Republican on the Senate Banking Committee, over whether he complied with IRS rules for nonprofits. Hinn has said on his Web site that external auditors ensure his compliance with IRS regulations and that in 2008, 88 percent of the money he collected was spent on ministry.

Benny Hinn Ministries is based in Grapevine, Texas, and operates a church and television studio in Aliso Viejo in California's Orange County, according to its Web site.

Sorrell Trope, the attorney with the law firm representing Suzanne Hinn, did not return a call for comment. A woman at his office said the firm does not comment on divorce filings without the client's approval.

Tiger Woods got Joslyn James impregnated twice?

Monday, February 15, 2010

Tiger Woods' porn-star ex-mistress claims the disgraced golfer impregnated her twice, but her stepmother is giving her story a cold shower, describing her as a "compulsive liar."

In dueling interviews, Joslyn James said she paid the consequences for not practicing safe-sex with Woods while Deborah Siwik said her step-daughter is not to be believed.

"Joslyn is a compulsive liar and a bad mom," Siwik told Radaronline.com.

In an interview with "Inside Edition" that was to air Monday night, James, 32, insisted Woods got her pregnant twice. The first pregnancy, she said, ended in a miscarriage and the second was aborted.

She said she never told Woods about the pregnancies, which coincided with the two pregnancies of the golfer's wife, Elin. "The first one was when Elin was pregnant with Sam," said James, referring to Woods's 2-year-old daughter.

The second time she got pregnant, James said she quietly had an abortion, explaining, "Elin was pregnant with Charlie at that time. I just didn't want to ruin anything.

"I feel bad for Elin," added James, who says she carried on a steamy three-year affair with Woods. "She didn't deserve this and she didn't deserve being humiliated."

James - whose X-rated movies include "Porn Star Brides" and "Top Heavy 4" - claims she got pregnant because she and Tiger never practiced safe sex.

"It was never talked about. It was never protected," she said. Lending credence to her claims she had Tiger by the tail, James shared a series of old racy text messages with "Inside Edition" from an amorous-sounding Woods. "Baby I'm not going anywhere or doing anything. You please me like no other has or ever will. I'm not losing that," Woods purportedly texted James.
